In view of the latest severe epidemic situation, the Government has launched the “StayHomeSafe” Scheme to curb the spreading of the virus. Under the Prevention and Control of Disease Regulation (Cap. 599A), the Department of Health will issue 14-day or 4-day compulsory quarantine orders to close contacts or contacts of close contacts of COVID-19 confirmed cases. Any person concerned who leaves the dwelling place without permission commits a criminal offence.
The Centre of Health Protection (CHP) has therefore formulated the “Infection Control Advice” for the Property Management (PM) industry. Download here for more details.
In addition, the CHP also updates the “Health Advice on Prevention of COVID-19 for Properties Management” from time to time. Download here for more details or visit the COVID-19 thematic website.
The Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) urges the PM industry to actively support the “StayHomeSafe” Scheme, follow the advice strictly and pay close attention to the thematic website for the most up-to-date information so that relevant arrangements could be made timely. The PMSA also urges the PM industry to strive to assist and remind residents to stay alert and maintain personal hygiene, wear their masks properly, get vaccinated and fight the virus together to reduce the risk of COVID-19 spreading within the community.
