The Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) organised the “Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Seminar – Law and Regulations” yesterday in order to enhance the understanding of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and the Waste Disposal (Charging for Municipal Solid Waste) (Amendment) Ordinance 2018 among industry practitioners, facilitating them to discharge their property management (PM) duties and developing a culture of continuous learning.
Nearly 300 PM practitioners and students of Higher Diploma in Real Estate and Property Management offered by the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, Vocational Training Council, participated in the CPD Seminar. Most of the participants were PM licence holders, including formal and provisional licence holders.
The following guest speakers spoke at the Seminar:

The PMSA Chairperson Tony TSE said, “The PMSA will continue to work with different Government departments, public bodies and industry associations to co-organise CPD Seminars for the PM industry, with a view to strengthening the knowledge and skills of industry practitioners for enhancement in professionalism and competitiveness, as well as to fostering a culture of continuous learning among the industry practitioners for them to provide the public with PM services at higher professional standard and quality.”
PM work involves multiple areas and has to deal with such matters at various levels. In order to enhance the knowledge of the industry practitioners about different aspects of the PM industry, the PMSA organises CPD Seminars covering different topics including professional knowledge, regulations and management practices.
PM licence holders may earn CPD hours recognized by the PMSA through participation in the seminars organised by the PMSA.
